Ngā Rere will be a premium lodge experience in Taranaki and within Aotearoa.

 

Tūranga Aronga | Position Purpose

To perform a variety of activities to support the food & beverage operations and to ensure that manuhiri needs and expectations are consistently met or exceeded. This includes ensuring nutritious, high quality, well prepared, well presented and enjoyable kai (food) is provided to all manuhiri.

 

Ngā Pūkenga | Skills and Experience

This position requires a varied range of skills, attributes and key responsibilities; including flexibility, positivity, the ability to overcome challenges to name a few.

Other essential skills and attributes:

·       Passionate about Te Reo Māori me ona Tikanga 

·       Willing and able to work weekends and public holidays

·       New Zealand Certificate in Cookery (level 3)

·       Proven experience as a Chef, leading a team and/or running a kitchen

·       Exceptional communication skills, professionalism and emotional intelligence

·       Lead, organise and keep our food & beverage service and processes on track and constantly evolving.

·       Problem solving skills

·       High attention to detail

·       Flexible and adaptable

·       Team player with a friendly, positive approach
