As part of this, we are recruiting for two key roles: Procurement Specialist and EPMO Lead. 

These roles are about building strong foundations across the group. Strengthening how we plan, how we prioritise, and how we deliver. Bringing consistency, clarity, and confidence into our systems and decision-making, so we are set up to achieve the outcomes we’ve committed to.

Mō te tūranga | The role 

Te Korowai o Ngāruahine Trust is seeking a dynamic an experienced Kaiwhakahaere Whiwhinga me ngā Kirimana  – Procurement & Contract Management Specialist to lead the development of best-practice procurement and contract management across the organisation and its entities. 

This is a unique opportunity to shape how we engage suppliers, manage contracts, and deliver value with a forward-looking approach to procurement that strengthens organisational outcomes. 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Establish and embed procurement and contract management frameworks, policies, processes, and controls. 
  • Lead end-to-end procurement activities, including market engagement, sourcing, evaluation, and contract award. 
  • Promote competitive sourcing and tender processes to maximise value, transparency, and fairness. 
  • Develop and manage high-quality contracts, ensuring strong commercial and risk outcomes.  
  • Monitor supplier performance and strengthen vendor management practices. 
  • Provide trusted commercial and procurement advice to Pou, project teams, and leaders. 
  • Build procurement and contract management capability across kaimahi through guidance, tools, and templates. 
  • Introduce data, reporting, and metrics to enable informed decision-making and continuous improvement. 
  • Lead a planned, forward-looking procurement approach aligned to organisational priorities.

The successful candidate will offer: 

  • Proven experience in procurement and contract management, ideally in complex or multi-entity environments  
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance value, risk, and outcomes  
  • Experience establishing or improving procurement processes and frameworks  
  • Confidence in contract drafting, negotiation, and lifecycle management  
  • Experience leading competitive sourcing processes (RFPs, RFQs, tenders)  
  • Ability to influence, build capability, and foster collaboration across diverse teams  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills  
  • Understanding of, or commitment to, Ngāruahinetanga with a kaupapa Māori approach and values alignment

Reporting to our HR Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in creating an organised, safe, compliant, and positive workplace where our people can thrive to do their best mahi. Key Responsibilities: This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days look the same. You'll be the go-to person who keeps the business humming and our people supported - working closely with our Pou, Kaimahi, and external providers. This isn't an entry-level administration role - it's a trusted position with significant responsibility across people and operations. Payroll Process fortnightly payroll accurately and on time. Manage employee leave and payroll records. Ensure payroll complies with NZ legislation. Resolve payroll queries promptly and confidentially. Human Resources Support the entire employee lifecycle including recruitment, training and development, well-being initiatives, and employee records. Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems. Assist the HR Manager with HR projects and people initiatives. Maintain strict confidentiality at all times. Health & Safety Coordinate the company's Health & Safety systems and documentation. Maintain training and competency records. Monitor incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions. Schedule audits, toolbox meetings and compliance requirements. Support managers and teams to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure legislative compliance and continuous improvement. Office Management Manage day-to-day office operations and communications. Coordinate office supplies, equipment and facilities. Keep documentation, filing systems and business records organised. Coordinate meetings, travel and internal events. IT Coordination Coordinate IT onboarding and offboarding for employees. Manage laptops, phones, licences and office technology. Liaise with external IT providers to resolve issues. Maintain IT asset registers and equipment allocation. Help implement new technology, training, and business systems. Systems & Process Improvement. Continuously look for smarter ways of working. Improve administrative systems and documentation. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures. Help implement new processes and encourage team adoption. Support projects that improve efficiency, communication and employee experience. He kōrero mōu | About you Essential You have specialist experience in one or two of the core functions: Health and Safety Human Resources Payroll Office Management Preferred Confidence managing competing priorities and working independently. High levels of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality. Strong technology skills across Microsoft 365 and cloud-based business systems. Experience working in a Kaupapa Māori environment would be advantageous but isn't essential.
